Heritage as Aesthetics
Lloyd Choi Gallery (LCG) and Schoeni Projects Interiors (spi) present a collaborative debut at Sotheby’s London this November as part of Asian Art in London 2025, with two parallel exhibitions exploring heritage as a living, creative force.
The collaboration reflects a shared vision of honouring tradition while embracing experimentation, approaching heritage not as a static legacy but as an evolving force shaped by craftsmanship, renewal and continuity, as much as by symbolism and materiality. Together they offer new perspectives on how artistic practices connect past and present.
For this showcase, Heritage as Aesthetics, Nicole Schoeni, director of Schoeni Projects, curates her Victorian London residence as a living exhibition, placing inherited antiques in dialogue with contemporary works by Chinese and Hong Kong artists, alongside selected ceramic highlights from Lloyd Choi Gallery. The presentation reveals heritage as both personal and collective, showing how domestic spaces can inspire new ways of thinking beyond conventional art historical boundaries.Heritage as Aesthetics Private Viewing available until 23rd November.
