Ottchil No.1 began with an aged ramie Hanbok belonging to Lee’s Ottchil master, who gave it to her after her training in traditional lacquering. Lee transformed the delicate fabric through hand stitching and Ottchil, a natural tree sap lacquer, deepening its colours into warm, earthy tones. Bringing together aged ramie and natural lacquer, the work evokes autumn and the passage of time, quietly connecting nature and human experience.
